The responsibilities of the Assistant Coordinator are as follows:
Leadership of students and volunteers promoting Christian morals and ethics, supporting The Gates’s mission and vision
Recruit, communicate and train new volunteers to build relationships, manage kids, abuse awareness training, and Cultivate building rules, cleaning, etc.
Communicate with coordinator, parents, and volunteers about Gate “happenings” via Procare App
Plan and lead program activities/games/team building both inside and outdoors
Help to develop curriculum with devotion series/lessons and teach kids on a periodic basis
Help to promote The Gate to the Hamilton community and local churches
Take pics of activities, crafts, events for FB and social media posts
Provide support for the Program Coordinator with administrative tasks/duties and check in/check out responsibilities during programming
Help to plan, coordinate, and participate in field trips and other special events for The Gate
Ensure safety and The Gate rules and procedures are being followed
Pick up food from Hungry for Christ, drop off at the church and help organize on a monthly basis
